Terms and Conditions for Emostel Academy’s s-Dev Tech Courses

1. Introduction

Welcome to Emostel Academy’s s-Dev Tech Courses Program. By enrolling in any of the courses offered, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. These terms govern your participation in the program, your use of our services, and your obligations as a participant.

2. Eligibility

Participants must be at least 18 years old to enrol in the s-Dev Tech Courses Program. Exceptions may be granted for younger individuals with explicit parental or guardian consent.

3. Enrolment

  • Participants may choose to enrol in one, two, or all available courses appearing on the dedicated webpage www.emostelacademy.org/bit/sdev
  • Enrolment is considered complete upon payment of the required fees for the chosen courses.
  • Enrolment is non-transferable and must be done under the participant’s legal name.

4. Fees and Payment

  • Course fees must be paid in full or through an approved instalment plan.
  • Payments made are non-refundable, except in the case of course cancellation by Emostel Academy.
  • Failure to make instalment payments as agreed upon may result in suspension from the program until payment is made.

5. Course Content and Delivery

  • Courses are delivered online through pre-recorded videos, live sessions, quizzes, mini-projects, and practical exercises.
  • Participants will have access to learning materials and tools needed for their courses through their LMS account.
  • Live sessions will be held twice a week on scheduled dates. Recordings of live sessions may be available for later viewing.

6. Attendance and Participation

  • Regular attendance and participation are encouraged for live sessions to ensure optimal learning. Missed live sessions will not be rescheduled, but recordings may be made available.
  • Active participation in quizzes, mini-projects, and exercises is required to qualify for the end-of-course projects and bootcamp.

7. Bootcamp

  • Participants who complete their selected course(s) will have the opportunity to join an intensive bootcamp session, which provides hands-on projects and mentorship.
  • Bootcamp participation requires completion of the end-of-course projects with satisfactory performance.

8. Internship Opportunities

  • Internship opportunities are not guaranteed but may be offered to top-performing participants.
  • Selection for internships will be based on performance in the program, particularly during the bootcamp phase.

9. Certification

  • Upon successful completion of the courses and bootcamp, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
  • The certificate will reflect the course(s) completed and will be granted only if the participant meets all the course requirements.

10. Code of Conduct

  • Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors, fellow participants, and academy staff.
  • Any form of disruptive behaviour, harassment, or cheating will result in immediate dismissal from the program without a refund.

11. Intellectual Property

  • All content provided in the courses (videos, materials, projects) is the intellectual property of Emostel Academy and must not be copied, shared, or redistributed without permission.

12. System Requirements

  • It is the responsibility of participants to ensure they have access to the necessary technology (computer, internet connection, and required software) to complete the course.

13. Privacy Policy

  • Personal information collected during enrolment and participation will be kept confidential and used solely for administrative purposes related to the program.
  • Emostel Academy will not share or sell participant data to third parties without consent.

14. Modification of Terms

  • Emostel Academy reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes, and continued participation in the program constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Disclaimer

  • Emostel Academy does not guarantee employment or specific outcomes after completing the s-Dev Tech Courses Program. However, we strive to equip participants with the skills necessary to pursue tech-related careers.

16. Limitation of Liability

  • Emostel Academy is not responsible for any technical difficulties, personal injuries, or property damage that occur during the program or while using course materials.

17. Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Nigeria, and any disputes will be resolved in accordance with the legal system of Nigeria.
