All classes are held online but hosted in a highly interactive environment. However, those who subscribe for private/corporate classes and training may decide on where they intend the classes to be held.
We have recorded sessions as well as live classes, thereby making it a hybrid mode of online learning. We apply both modes of impact simultaneously to achieve our teaching/training objectives.
Recorded classes are some ready-made classes that are accessible to students as soon as they register for a course/program. These classes are only accessible during the tenure of the registered course/program. Our pre-recorded classes are often updated periodically to meet with learners’ needs, as well as the objectives of the registered course/program.
Live sessions are done at some number of days per week and at a specific time of each day depending on the course/program. The days and times per course/program are communicated through the course details. All live sessions are recorded and posted to the students’ portals, for the purpose of revision and catch-up (for those who missed the session).
Our main agenda for offering pre-recorded sessions is to foster learning progress and efficiency, so that students may acquire sound knowledge within the shortest possible time depending on their individual learning speed. In other words, we provide the pre-recorded classes so that students may have a first-hand experience of the topic before attending the live class. This will make learning easier and faster. With this, we can cover more topics within a shorter time frame.
Our live classes are essential for the purposes of enabling a direct interaction with the instructors and among the students, creating a four-walled classroom feeling, and also observing and addressing the desired learning modes of different students, all with the aim of establishing a further knowledge of the course and a deeper understanding of the concepts of the topics being discussed. In our live sessions, students can ask questions based on what they did not understand when interacting with the pre-recorded classes; in the process of addressing their problems, other students online may also learn more.
In addition to our hybrid online learning modes, we also group students/learners into communities to further enhance their learning experience and proffer solutions to individual study problems through interactions and exchange of ideas. Our community managers are always available to help students address unresolved issues or unanswered questions, and also make corrections, adjustments, elaborations, or illustrations where necessary. Only registered students are given access to our premium communities.
Definitely! Students can reach out directly to their instructors when they need further assistance. This can be via email, chat, or even directly through the learning platform. However, due to the large volume of students and possible large influx of requests, it might take some time for the instructors to attend to students. Getting help from the community seems easier and faster.
Yes. At the end of every course/program, learners usually write exams and carry out projects to qualify to earn our certificates. We do this to ensure the quality of our certificate and the dignity of the certificate holders. Learners may rewrite the same examination for as many times as possible but will not earn our certificate until specified assessment criteria are met. However, rewriting our exams come with extra administrative charges. The first attempt is free of charge.
No. Not all our courses/programs earn learners an advanced certificate. Academic programs designed to improve students’ performance and insight on school subjects for instance, are not necessarily certified. But professional courses learnt with us are always certified.
We have two types of certificates. One is the “Certificate of participation” (issued after some kind of short or regular community programs which would not necessarily require assessments); the other is the “Advanced certificate” such as Diploma, etc. (usually issued after completing some professional course/programs).
Course requirements, program duration, class schedules, and other information concerning a course/program are usually stated in the course detail for each course.
We also offer private tutoring or training programs which involve personalized learning experiences and may be held either online or on-site, depending on the preferences of the subscriber.
Yes, we do. Our free courses can be accessed through our website. However, it requires that you register before you can access them. This is in order to enable your student portal for a proper follow-up with the courses.
upon registration with Emostel Academy, you will be able to create your own account which comes with a username and password. All the courses you registered for during your application will automatically appear in your student portal and can be accessed from there.
Course materials and important information such as assignment submission deadlines, class schedules, course updates and more, can also be accessed through your personal student portal.
This is an online learning platform and as such, payments for our services are also made through online channels. Available options can be found in the payment section of our website after registration.
For some of our courses/programs, instalment payments are allowed while some courses/programs only permit a one-time full payment. Payment preferences can be found on our website when you view the course/program details and during payments processes.
When this happens, the system will automatically deny the student/learner, an access to the course/program. Once payment is made, the access continues. However, the student may have much to lose as all class/training sessions are recorded and automatically posted to the student portal. for access at a later time.
While some programs require just your regular smartphone to access, some other programs require a laptop/desktop computer for you to be able to actively take part in the class activities. You will see the technical requirements for each course/program from the details provided before you enroll for the course/program.
